01.16.2024. I will be leading a class on “Africa and Science Fiction” in Mingqing Yuan’s MA-seminar, “What is Africa?” at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. The seminar will include discussion of two short films, Wanuri Kahiu’s Pumzi (2009) and Frances Nuotama Bodomo’s Afronauts (2014). Previous work on these and related topics is available here and here.
