06.17.2021. My article, “The Contemporary Novel and the Global South: Relation, Recognition, and the Utopian Impulse,” has been published in Studies in the Novel (53.2; 2021) and is available here. A long time in the making, the article includes extensive discussion of the Global South as a framework for literary analysis as well as an in-depth discussion of Laila Lalami’s The Moor’s Account (2012).
